Anthology
Gold patch 1.0
Unreal Anthology was found to be not compatible with the
current Unreal (225) servers. This community-made patch from the
CelticWarriors clan replaces the mismatching files with the
original versions from Unreal Gold. Install this patch to be
able to connect to all Unreal 225 servers and Gold servers
without version conflicts. |
> General patches / updates |
Unreal patch 226 final
226f adds sound fixes and 3d sound, along with fixes to the d3d
renderer. Some 226f servers have strange issues about some
effects which are not working. Clients of all versions except
GOLD can join 226f servers. 226f not recommended for servers,
NEVER USE FOR EDITING MAPS. |
Unreal Gold weblinks patch
Fixes the start menu web links |
Unreal patch 226a
Non-official beta of 226f which seems to fix some problems in
D3D but horrible mipmapping problem. Fixes 3D-Sound (you can use
the Sound dll to fix 225, it works!) NEVER USE THIS TO EDIT
MAPS! |
Unreal Patch 225f
225f is the most commonly used "good for all" version both as
server and game machine. Voodoo card players will most likely
use this version for best stability and performance.
Update: There is a
Glide
Wrapper available, which allows GeForce and Radeon cards to
run Glide games. Just install it and put 225 back on choose 3dfx
card when it asks! |
Unreal Patch 224v
224v makes an excellent server. For gaming only recommended
together with Smirftsch's OpenGL patch. Some system files don't
work in 224 though.
UScript writers: Do not create switch() / case statements with
strings as the dependent argument! This will work fine on 225f
and later but certainly crashes 224 engines.
KNOWN BUG: If you play with 224 and login as administrator to a
server you sometimes cause the server to PAUSE once you exit, so
you should go back without logging in as administrator to see if
your server is still running and not paused.
SERVER PERFORMANCE: It is a simple fact that 224 servers do
perform better than 225f. Especially on low-end servers you will
notice less lag and/or hitches if the server is 224. The
performance gain on ultra high speed servers (P4 1 GIG Ram
etc...) is questionable, a real difference has so far only been
noted on machines which work at their limits or which are
generally slower (P-II ...) |
Return to NaPali patch 226B
226b RtNaPali is GOLD for Return To NaPali and commonly used
for the mission pack. It has the same problems as normal 226f
concerning networking insecurities and incompatibilities, but as
a gaming machine, you CAN join normal 225f servers with this
one. Hosting public servers with this version is not recommended
and NEVER USE THIS TO EDIT MAPS! |
> Unreal Editor patch |
Unreal Editor fix 4
Fixes several problems with UnrealED. It also includes the
required DLL files, so if your Unreal Editor does not start
because of a missing DLL file, install this to fix it. |
