I am trying to make a server through a wireless network.
I tried all that port forwarding stuff on unrealreference.com and stuff, my network appears when you search for servers in unreal but if you try to join, it will go in, but you can walk around, but cant: fire, get guns, see guns or any actors whatsoever, talk, or see ping. basically you cant do anything.

but it is there...

do i need to modify the unreal.ini file or add a line in there

please help

check your cerver.log and see what it says, then double check your configuration in your Unreal.ini files. Then double check your router settings. you may actually have your router ports open, but not actually configured correctly. If you still don't get it to work, drop me a line and I will be more than happy to help you.

1. Set DoUplink to true in unreal.ini
2. Forward Unreal's ports to the local IP of your server
3. Give Unreal server permission in your firewall

(General wireless security: Enable WPA or WEP encryption)

I have this same issue when I join a INF Deathmatch server, (don't see them a lot anymore) and after about 40 seconds, everything would load in. (If you had the issue I had, even the HUD or typing won't work)

I'm not sure how to fix it, but if you try logging into a INF Deathmatch server and have the issue, try contacting the clan or whoever that runs it (like by the email in the info) and compare settings, I'd think it would have something to do with the cache, tickrate, and clientrate.
