After a long time the HyperDM server is back online. In September 2005 I took the server offline because of ongoing stability issues. (Freezes) But most of these issues should be fixed now with Zombies new AI server hang fix for DZMapM. This fix is already included in JCoopZ, but because HyperDM uses a different game type (UTeamFix) I could not use it here. I also took the opportunity to update the server with a long list of enhancements that were applied to the HyperCoop servers last year.
I'll do some testing and tweaking to see if it is stable and to see how the gameplay is (Difficulty etc.) _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

Just been playing on the server and noticed that the Gruels, Evols and Sarmins don't pick up their weapons when they spawn. Hence leaving them weaponless.
Also the server tempbanned me for some reason that I do not know. _________________ StalwartUK |

The Gruel/Evol problems is probably from a checkreplacement mutator running. Hyper, what replacement mutators do you having running on HyperDM and how are any weapons configured to be replaced? I'm wondering if the experimental item replacement prevention for weapon-pawns in the DZMapM beta is working correctly if its itemreplacer is being used.

At HyperDM I use WMutate2's ItemReplacer to replace Unreal weapons and items with Aura weapons and items.
Is the DZMapM itemreplacer better? I can give it a try then... _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

In regard to handling pawns that are supposed to carry weapons it's a step up. One of the changes in the DZMapM beta is to not replace items or weapons which are spawned for a pawn to immediatly own. That prevents floating weapons nearby the pawn or those pawns not carrying anything. Only SkaarjTrooper based pawns have their weapons replaced (properly now) if it's in the replaceitem list.

@ Stalwart: I have to look in the log for the reason of your tempban. But for now the log is closed because it's in use. DO you have it only at HyperDM or also at other DM servers?
@ Zombie: I'll switch to DZMapM for the item replacements then. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

@ TESUK: You were kicked / tempbanned because your client or my server failed to communicate your computer name. I'll investigate this.
By the way: I changed the weapon replacements from WMutate2 to DZMapM and it works. I think I'll leave it this way now (Monsters get the Unreal weapons) although it was still cool and frightning to see the powerfull Aura weapons in the hands of the enemy. (When the replacement worked successfully) _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

Could a Firewall cause this to happen? I usually have ZoneAlarm running. _________________ StalwartUK |

No, when you were not attacking my server, and I don't believe so, it was a fault in the network or on my side. You should keep your PC protected with a personal firewall like ZoneAlarm. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.
