The server is down for maintenance.

As part of investigating the out-of-memory crash problem, I'm corrently doing a deep level disk scan where every bit is tested, written, inverted, re-inverted and written again. (Advised by Microsoft to make sure the pagefile is working correctly.)

I'll also do a RAM test (MemTest86+) to make sure there are no problems to the physical RAM as well.

In the Windows 2000 registry, I also undid two memory management tweaks and applied a fix to a possible out-of-memory problem caused by my anti-virus program.

When this is ready I'll install the new Nephthys, make some backups again and relaunch the games.

Update: Nephthys RC7 gives a new compatibility issue with the online server status script. I've contacted Zora and am waiting for an answer.

Update: For now RC7 has been uninstalled and RC6 placed back. I hope I can install a final version later.

The RAM test and disk tests have been completed and prove the ram and disk are free of physical errors.

There still may be a memory issue within Unreal, but that will be harder to prove.

Update: Zora discovered that the server status script sent an invalid request to the server. This request always worked nicely on Unreal and older NPT versions, but no longer works with RC7.

With this information and some experiments I was able to update the script and make it NPR 1.3 RC7 comaptible.

With the script fixed, I could update the Unreal servers once again to NPT RC7, so this workorder is finally closed.
