I recently installed Unreal on my new laptop. When I open unreal, the animated "flying" movie runs too fast. When joining internet servers I either move too fast or slow, it seems to be random. (almost like a slomo effect) I have no idea why it is doing this. Changing the display driver has no effect. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Here are the specs of my laptop and desktop, Unreal works fine on my desktop.
Laptop: AMD 64 bit 3000+ 512mb ram, 60gb hdd, Nvidia GeForce4 440 Go graphics, Windows XP home with SP2
Desktop: AMD 2500+ 1gb ram, 120gb hdd, Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4200 AGP 8x, Windows XP home with SP2 |

Try to enable the option 'vsync' (vertical synchronisation) in your display properties. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

I've tried everything I can think of, even copying the entire game from my desktop which works normally. Even in software rendering it still happens. I cannot find a vsync option in the direct3d section of my video driver. I have run out of ideas. |

I don't have experience with that laptop, but maybe the power management / speedstep technology is affecting the processor speed. When you are on AC power, try selecting full processor power. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.
