Does or has anyone had this problem where no matter what it won't let you import sounds into unrealed.i'v tried importing /w/ editor and uc but just won't let me get to sounds.  |

Generally when I have run into that problem where the sound was in the correct format and it seems like it should have worked I found that the bitrate was set too high. Unreal requires a specific bitrate for its sounds - unfortunately, that I don't recall for sure what it is offhand. (Maximum of 22 Kbps seems right for some reason)

i had this problem for a long time too, if you want to import Sounds (not music) to unreal it needs to be an wave file (.wav)
but then still it wont work (atleast it doesnt here)
place the wav file INTO your sounds directory in unrealed, then import and then it should work fine.

Make sure the wave files are not internally compressed with some kind of audio codec. They should be plain PCM.
