|
|
I just started a new Unreal 1 server off my own computer at home with a dsl connection. However when I launch the dedicated server and the map runs thru its 30 minute run time,it will stay on the same map and not change. I have "change levels" set to true in Networking. Can anyone help me with an answer. It would be greatly appreciated. |

You may want/need to post some more info, like which game type you are using, and the server configuration of the game type regarding the map switching. Otherwise I'm afraid nobody can help you. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

Well I was using the original (222r) version of Unreal, running with the 226f patch. I was using only DM maps, with Assualt mods,no bot protection. The only thing I changed in the server config was (MaxClient rate) which I had set at 6770 for (6) peeps to play and the (MaxServerTicks) I had set to 1. I left everything else in (Default) It was running very well with low ping rates and hardly any lag in which I find I have in many other servers. Also I was playing on the same computer that I was serving off from. Thank you |

226f sucks, its not a real Unreal version because not everyone can come in. I recommend 225f _________________

You'll need to set up a map list. Maybe the assualt (or assault) game has it's own map list. If so, you will need to use it. If not, usethe deathmatch maplist. Also look for the option in Unreal.ini to enable map changes.
You can also configure the amount of frags after which the server should end the current map and switch to the next one. If it still does not work, check your server log file. It could be possible that an incomplete map install (missing file or server package) can cause a map switch to fail.
