Ok, I'm importing a small WAVE file into UnrealEd. I want it to be played in game. I can import it into U file or into UAX package, I got no problems there.... BUT - I've made an item that plays my imported sound when activated (btw: it's not in properties -> Activated sound but in my script - that's for other purposes) and... it's sooooooooo silent!!
I got a question then - how to import it without the silent effect?
I know i can make it louder by simply editing the file before importing but it's a low quality one (loading 10 suonds abut 1MB every is pointless.. ) and the hums are starting to be much too loud if I do this. _________________ Beware the lollipop of mediocrity - lick it once and you suck forever.

Lol, SoulReaver solved this one for me already - u need to place the sound file into 'Unreal\Suonds' folder and import it from there. Otherwise it may not import the file at all. :p :p
My problem is not that I can't import a file but that after importing, when I play it in the game, I can barely hear it even if the audio configuration is set to maximum. _________________ Beware the lollipop of mediocrity - lick it once and you suck forever.

Thats also quite 'normal' in Unreal, try playing a sound (in unreal ed) then export it to wav and then play it with media player, you will hear a difference. I dont realy got a good answer for this...

PS: When i import sounds, i first increase the volume with the MS Recorder tool. _________________ Before asking, try the Unreal wiki here.

I tried with unrealEd 3.0 and it works great there in both cases... but can't work with UEd3.0 for Unreal 1
Hmm... but some ppl use custom sounds in Unreal 1 and it works good...
Ehh... nobody know what's the deal with that? _________________ Beware the lollipop of mediocrity - lick it once and you suck forever.
