The question is: will applying the Anthology UGold patch allow you to play at 227d servers? I know it allows you to play on 225f servers but will 227d recognize it as 225f or will it rather make problems?
Anyone tried it?

227 is completely incompatible with older versions. But 227 players do can play on 226 servers or lower.

Actually it is - there's a var bAllowOldClients or something like that and when you set it to true older clients can join. :p

Not if your running an mod made with 227. No matter if there are 227 functions used or not, it won't let you join.
