Hello.
I've planned a nice little map which could turn out as a funny coop challenge, provided with the awesome UMSSpaceMarine suits by Asgard. It's a four player map, and each player gets equipped with another suit (and different items). The marines have to solve puzzles in a row, with little boss fights inbetween etc. For example in the first section the Space marine would have to jump up multiple platforms and hit a trigger to open the gate to the next section.
I've already started mapping this, but since I'm not able to script new pickups/zones, I need a lot of help with those scripts. Since the marine suits excepting for the Space suit don't offer too great changes which could be taken advantage of in the challenges, I'd need some new pickups and additional Marine suit functions, for example WaterZones only the Arctic Marine could swim in (Could be solved with building a Toxin/AsbestosSuit into the Arctic suit).
But who would do that. Here I am now. I beg you to script the items I've thought of to help the map. It could turn out as great 4 player coop fun, and I think that I've got enough mapping experience to pull it off.

7. An activatable Toxin/Asbestos Suit item. So it's not an armor, but an activatable/deactivatable item, also automatically recharging, like the flashlight.
8. A zone in which only the player with the Desert Marine suit can move in without taking damage. (Customizable damage variable)
9. A water zone in which only the player with the Arctic Marine suit can swim in without taking damage. (Customizable damage variable)
Please script those items. I need them for functionality of the map. Also please don't alter the concepts of the items, no console commands. I need them as I described them. Without that stuff the map won't be fun. |
I hope those items aren't too impossible to script.

About item 6: You should take a look at J's UnrealCity map which has doors that only open for a certain class of playerpawn like Nali and Skaarjplayers.
Maybe you can make your own version of it. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

Some really early screenshots. It's pretty bland for now, I'll make it prettier after I've had some progress on the map.
It's the spawn room, leading to the equipment rooms for each marine. The door to the equip room closes after you enter it, so other people can't get your equipment.
