The powerful Unreal Engine, developed by Epic MegaGames Inc., allows ASC Games to create the incredible Active Wildlife Environment in TNN Outdoors Pro Hunter -- adding depth and detail not found in other games. As the player scouts for prey, other animals indigenous to the environment such as chipmunks or birds, will directly affect gameplay by either startling the prey or distracting the player and becoming a target. Other TNN Outdoors Pro Hunter features include a wide selection of terrain types, seasons, maps and gameplay modes including training, tournament, Local Area Network and Internet play.

TNN Outdoors Pro Hunter players can hunt for nine different types of animals, including small game (rabbit, quail, squirrel), big game (deer, elk, turkey), and migratory birds (duck, dove, geese). Players have the option of using 12 different types of weapons, attachments, hunting gear and equipment, and for the first time ever, players will be able to flush out their prey with hunting dogs. Adding to the thrill of the chase, TNN Outdoors Pro Hunter will introduce animal ``hit regions.'' For example, a player who takes careless shots may strike game in a less critical hit region, wounding the animal and causing it to run off.
