has anyone been able to start a server
for Unreal
using Vista and not getting uplink errors
to the mastere servers ?

Hm, I don't use Vista for my servers. WinXP64 works fine here. And vista64 for my client. Generally uplink errors are not caused by Windows but by networking issues. (no open ports, router, firewalls etc.) _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

Same here, but i don't think there will be much difference between hosting servers on vista or xp for example. _________________

well i think this guy it right vista always gives uplink errors i used same configuration on xp and it worked.
but still i have to know too if there is a way to fix this |

I've heard multiple times of issues with Vista and Unreal servers. There may be some compatibility issues indeed. At least I can surely say that pinging from the server browser does not work well in Vista. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

im running some tests now with vista too see if i can get it to work
i will post a solution to this problem as soon as i find this.
(by help from other players and some programs) |

Here's a solution....don't use Vista...I don't and wouldn't :-) |
there whas no other way i bought this computer and it had vista on it,
ow well tested patch 227e and still nothing.
so now im going to install xp and hopefully its fixed with that |

well i think your right and i know vista sux i didnt asked for it but when
i bought this computer it had vista on it.
