The HyperCoop server has been restarted after a freeze.

I have no clue what was the cause. :(

How long was the unreal server uptime? Did it pass the 2 week mark where hangs and out of memory errors normally started occuring in the past? How long was the server machine up since it's last reboot? If it happens again and with a short uptime then I suggest removing the DZMapM beta and placing back the older version. That's the only mod you've added to both coop servers that has decent amount of new changes to it.

If hangs still occur without the DZMapM beta (if you decided to remove it) then my guess it's really a server machine issue instead from being up long without a reboot to recover leaked resources.

The uptime was 16 days. This also is the server uptime (Now 17 days). I'll try the DZMapM restore when it keeps happening then.

I installed the old ThreadMaster again, with a maximum processor usage of 25% for Unreal.exe (This is in reality 50% because of the processor usage measurement with HyperThreading).

This should at least prevent a frozen server from lagging the other games.

It has an "attack time" of 30 seconds, which means the server can use full CPU power when needed in short moments, for example during level switches.

I'm curious what loads after titanx on the shrak1 map. Please post from your log what currently loads from level start to just before the JCoopZ banner on the custom server.

If it hangs again during a level load/start it might possible that the server's CPU is maxing out badly when loading and initiating some package(s). A lot of CPU usage can always happen during level switches, and combined with 1-3 other unreal servers with players it might be adding enough to cause this. Plus, HyperCoop custom runs more packages on average so it probably has more usage than the others. That's just a theory ATM, but keep track of CPU usage during level switches if you can.

Interesting. Just relaunched the Custom Map server to get the log information, and it froze again. I typed 'servertravel sharak1' into the serverconsole to watch the log and there it froze:

Those packages from Wooper.u to xyz.u are packages for the Klingon maps. Small in size, and they are not used on other levels. (They are in server packages, but not being spawned or replaced. Only the hardcoded calls in the Klingon map use them.)

Ok, I'm gonna track this down step by step. I can already say now that it does not freeze when I disable the DZMapM.ItemReplacer and freezes again when I enable it again.

I tracked it down to this specific rule:

This replacement should randomly replace lanterns with or a jDec.jLantern or an Auragame1.BeeLantern. The JDecLantern can spawn a DeathTentacle when it is shot and the BeeLantern releases a beeswarm when shot for the first time.

When I remove the randomness of the replacement, it still freezes with the BeeLantern:

I'll remove the BeeLantern and use the JLantern to randomly spawn bees or a death tentacle. This seems to be fully Shrak1 compatible.

Nice catch on the hange/freeze problem. This still doesn't completely explain the other abrupt crashes and hangs in the previous weeks that didn't occur shortly after level start. If I remember correctly you didn't have BeeLantern as a replacement in DZMapM before. Was this BeeLantern a replacement in jddMute the last few weeks the hangs have been occuring? Also, all the way back to the day you installed Dot's beta maps did you use DZMapM's (beta 2.05) ItemReplacer then at all too?

Please send me your most current DZMapM INI file with BeeLantern, and supply me with the package(s) so I can perform some tests. This is a good study which can help me prevent any potential hangs with the ItemReplacer.

Indeed. I added the BeeLantern after I got the Aura update from Boodaflow.

No, I never replaced lanterns with BeeLanterns with jddMute. The jddMute mutator can not even do it, it has been hardcoded to only add JDec items.

No, that was at June 16th. I started the migration from WMutate1 and 2 to DZMapM in July.
