A custom model?
What is it, a brush? A decoration? |

I think you mean a mover (purple outlines might ring some bells), as in doors and lifts. |

UnrealEd isn't designed for making charactors at all, but there are some free programs out there that can help you.
Wasn't milkshape free? |

Could you just tell me what it is so I could decipher the best possible route for you to take? |

So it's a charactor. What was stopping you from saying that in the first place?

3d studio max costs £1,599 and there is little guarantee that you'll learn to use it (but you never know), I couldn't because I'm a procrastator with reading difficulties.
I suggest downloading a free tool like milkshape (I'm not entirely sure if it is free, though). |

Its not.
Plus that if you find a license key soone nough, your able to use it forever without paying for it. Same with MilkShape. Lucky enough i found a cd key for milkshape 1.8.1. But bummer that it has to much export bugs. 1.8.1b has better export variables but hasnt got a license key yet.. _________________

bah new problem now
Ok after I import them from Milkshape into Unreal Ed all they do is look like a 2d square is there anyway to get around that?
Also I want to stretch them so it looks like a snowboard and make them flat so that the sides that expose the most texture face the ground and the sky. _________________
