did anybody play "Unreal 2: The Awakening" ?
have an idea to fully recreate Unreal 1 storyline using more powerful engine of Unreal 2..have two questions
is it real now and will it be necessary to give second live for Unreal 1, by giving it more powerful engine? _________________ We live because Hope access Memory, and both lied to us... |

Yes, I played Unreal II. But did not like it. At least the singleplayer part of it. I loved the eXpanded Multi Player (XMP) part of U2 tho.
I don't see much use for an Unreal 1 to Unreal 2 project. Unreal 2 is now dead and buried, and it it an enormous amount of work to achieve something like this.
It would be a better option to rebuild Unreal in UT3 or so. But this is also a huge project. _________________ Alter your reality...forever.

Even using the UT2K4 era of the Unreal Engine would give some huge technology advancemants including better AI, vehicle support, beter weapon support, better mapping tools, etc. But either way, it would be a long, but interesting project to partake in. _________________ previously a member of Industrial Carnage, and Planet Hell, Currently in the Pho3n1x clan. |

Sure. Only one problem ..mainly for me - I don't know UT 2004 script syntax at the level, that i know syntax of Unreal and UT. And i can't find good tutorials about it, mainly which can help understand relations between actors.
For example - in Unreal and UT, functions, which describe fire modes, are placed in weapon scripts. In UT2k4 they were separated. _________________ Never forget Unreal.
