hey ive been looking all over this forum but found nothing that could help me.
i used to have a server but now i don't becouse my wireless connection wont allow it dont know why ive tried everyting.
ive opened all ports like it should
i closed all firewalls even the one from the router
i still have the same INI from my old server so uplinks are correct (double checkt them)
and so and so.....
the log file doesnt make me any wiser so im stuck now, is there maybe someone who had the same problem or knows how to solve this?

The fact that the connection is wireless does not disallow you from making servers. You can still give your server a static IP and forward Unreal's ports towards that IP in your router.

Besides from that: I do recommend of using a wired network where possible. Wireless networks can be slower and it it more likely to have connection dropouts.

I concur with Hyper on this, I know people that have tried running a wireless Unreal server and regardless of what they did it dropped clients like a vegetarian dropping a hotdog :-P
Seriously....hard-wired all the way, the only way to go....

i tried it with a cable like you guys told me but still nothing this is very strange i had a server for several years so im sure everyting is correct.
maybe its becouse im using vista? or doesnt vista has anyting to do with it?

i checked log files and it fails to uplink to master server is the error.
i have patch 225 and vista dunno if this has someting to do with it

there is no info on new master servers what are should the master servers be and wich one i put in networking:master server oplink?

All the info was in that post (Or where to find it), here's the info right off Hyper's site>>>>

When you run an Unreal server it's good to uplink it to multiple master servers to make sure the players can always find your server, even when the official master server would be unavailable. To get your server listed, you need to do the following:

1.

Install Nephthys 1.1 or higher (Warning: Follow included instructions carefully!)
2.

Close your Unreal server and open your servers Unreal.ini file (Note: This file may also be called Server.ini or whatever you use.)
3.

Disable the lines starting with "ServerActors=IPServer.UdpServerUplink" by placing a ";" in front of them:

;ServerActors=IPServer.UdpServerUplink...
4.

Nephthys 1.1 uses its own master server uplink you need to use from now. It's compatible with the old IPServer method. Here is an example configuration:

ServerActors=Nephthys.NptServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master0.gamespy.com MasterServerPort=27900
ServerActors=Nephthys.NptServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.qtracker.com MasterServerPort=27900 QueryPort=7778
ServerActors=Nephthys.NptServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.thenerdnetwork.com MasterServerPort=27900

The first line is for the default GameSpy master, the second line for the QTracker master server. Change the QueryPort if necessary. The last line is for the official TheNerdNetwork master server. Of course you can add or remove lines where needed.
5.

When everything is configured correctly you can save your .ini file and start the server again.


BTW if your not using Nephthys I HIGHLY recommend you do...

after doing what you posted here log told me that server whas connected to 1 master server.
but still it doesnt show in the server list.
i think id better try 227 patch and see what this has to say.
(even tough i like 225 more)

does that say anything to you? ports reset or sumthing the problem is somewhere in that area i guess.. dont ask me why tho, i don even have any server XD

i fixed the problem finally hehe it now works on vista now i only need to get myself a cable becouse yes wireless is bad.
im not that stupid its passwords from 10 years ago hehe.
