They did not cancel UT2007. They renamed it to UT3. Why ? No one knows.

I think that because it's third generation of UT which run on third generation of Unreal Engine. I didn't count 2k3 as "game" because it was released by Epic under pressure of their publisher and it was kinda "beta" for me  . UT2004 was what 2k3 should be, a true sequel of UT 1. Well at least I think so, and I can be wrong

Yeah they did sort of cancel it. It was not -simply- renamed. The game now has a storyline involving wars and such. Unreal never really had a storyline since unreal gold, all the tournament series, they were having a tournament. That was their storyline. As far as I have understood, Unreal Tournament 2007 was going to be much the same involving the same storyline. Now, it has a GOOD storyline, finally, after 9 years.
This means there will probs. be CO-OP in it, and that is simply wonderful. It will help Dawn of Na-Pali (DONP) -Allot-.
As for the game's releace date, it is expected to arrive the first half of 2007. Thug, if you dont mind, A link to your post please? It would be convienet to save me the trouble of searching for it. ;)
The purpose of DONP still stands. This world we all know and love of Unreal 1, It is something I don't intend to leave behind. DONP is going to yank it strait from 1998, and strait into 2007. Once the project begins, all the help avalible would be appriciated. After all, this is OUR world, not just mine - we should all help to pull it to the future and enjoy it in today's graphics.
Hyper, again - your correct about the little thing called TIME. I dont have near as much of it anymore. Epic delayed UT2k7 to long. Now days I am lucky If I have an hour or two a day to work with unreal. This is why we need a good team on the project.

Epic did not Delay UT3. They never had a release date the begin with. All they said was "Expect this, Expect that".

No! It was just renamed to UT3. And storyline was suggestion of M$ (or am I wrong ?). Storyline is just sorta "new feature" which Epic have added to UT3.

OK 1, Its not coop, Hybrid knows what it is. Its warzone. Its similar to coop. I have only told hybrid what its about and its illigal to inform people so, I may not tell anyone here sorry.

mm first off, the new game requires higher minimum requirements then the origional planned UT2k7 did. So thats a bit more then renaming..
Secondly, Warzone, coop, as long as they are simular, it should be easier to code a coop mode from the player-friendly gametype.
and third, illigal to inform us? As much as that may be true, there are countless ways of informing people - um, in a "Shady" way? Different account names that cannot be identifyed, etc..not that im asking you to tell us illigal information. Im just saying there are plenty of ways to spill the beans without being caught an having to pick them all up. ;)
