I think Smartball's score recovery should be installed onto your server. Aura guns tend to make me crash, as my comp is kinda old-ish. It is such a PAIN to have 415-ish frags, then crash, then go back to the frags that you got from last level (360-ish).

Also, I noticed that when you sometimes die, you lose around 5-10 frags. Then again, it may be because I tend to kill myself alot...

I have explainations for this. The reason why your frags or HUD score returns to what it was last level has to do with GemDagger's own built-in score keeping and recovery. When you join the server GemDagger restores its own cumulative score. The next JCoopZ build will have full support for correcting the score restoration made by other mods. Also, SmartBall's score recovery might work as a semi-solution, but it could cause other problems. One example is you buy an expensive item, you crash, and when joining the server again you lose score as well as item.

As for losing 5 frags, that will happen if you either suicide, blow yourself up, crater yourself, or dive into a pool of lava. I've already changed that behavior in JCoopZ for the future build update so that 'suicide' takes 5 frags, and have the rest only cost 1 frag.

I can remember adding Smartballs score recovery tool a looong time ago and it did not work. probably because of the custom player pawns in MCoop2.

And because Smartball's mods have a history of crashing my servers I rather do not use it anyways.
