Um. This shouldn't not be on the forum. It isn't unreal related.

From what I've seen and heard of Vista it isn't exactly what I would call impressive. It has lots of bugs and it's very, very unstable. I wouldn't even think of letting my Unreal near that thing.

I hope that XP SP3 isn't as crap as Vista has been.

I agree fully with Thug on this.

Vista is not crap at all.

My Vista has no bugs whatsoever in it and it actully runs Unreal better
than XP did.

Vista is the future and it will replace XP if you guys like it our not.

If it has no bugs then how can you explain all the crashes and instability? I personally think that Vista is the worse Windows since WinME. I know this because my dad has been trying it out and what I've seen of it isn't exactly what I would call impressive.

Vista is the future? I don't think so. From the looks of things it seems to be the latest reason for users to switch over to other operating systems. Plenty of people are clearly not happy with how the latest version of Windows has turned out.

What is Vista? Personally it seems like XP with a resource-hogging crappy GUI that gets in your way, crappy DRM that restricts what you can do and a few "exclusive" features that MS doesn't intend to port over to earlier versions of Windows, evidently using their dominance of the industry to make more money.

Crashes, Instability?

Can you provide me a screenshot of vista giving an error or blue screening? Or are you just being ingnorant?

Now I will agree that's it's new and it does have some bugs
but remember it's just a beta it's still not fully fleshed out with bugs. XP
was like this when it came out but as they devolped the service packs it was improved an awful lot

But yes it is the future stalwart if you or your dad likes it or not
Businesses will switch to Vista Business because XP Professinal brought nothing new.
Also they say don't judge a movie by only seeing it's trailer.
If you actully see the movie itself you might like it?
Get what I mean?

I've read whole article about Vista, they also at end did positives and negatives list, but from their test it is rather unsatble and those guys are professionals who wrote it, they wrote it exclusively for one PC magazine.

Positive things:
- New Windows look good.
- It is only OS which supports DX10
- Highest security against hackers, with additional services, like Onecare.
Negatives:
- Very huge incompatibility with older games, OpenGL supported titles VERY slow.
- Too high and unnecessary price, which is at EU 2x higher than at USA.
- Too strict licensee politics, OEM version tied up on motherboard.
- Posibility of outside revokation of drivers, very high level of control from the side of Microsoft.
- DRM system for Blue-Ray/HD DVD, artifical destabilization of system.
- It doesn't look that bugs were properly fixed. System is not crashing, but lot of things inside it yes.

I didnt read the post right befor this one. But i honostly have to say this. I think the comments are out of ignorance. I mean its ussualy jealous or somthing that makes people say this. Like what i was saying with the Xbox 360. People were downing it as well. So i have to say through proof that things are out of nerve and ignorance.

Well I will admit in some of the negative points Leo has made.

But I think you guys should at least give it some sort of chance.
